Description

White-crowned sparrows are common on Seedskadee NWR during spring and fall migrations. Large flocks can be spotted in sagebrush and in the willows along the river. They hop along the ground and stay in heavier vegetation, making a good look difficult. The distinctive black/white/black striping on the crown aids identification.
