| Description |
English: The bus stop at the Folly Inn, Folly Lane, Whippingham, Isle of Wight, Southern Vectis route 25. Until 4 September 2010, the stop was served by Wightbus route 29. Route 29 was withdrawn with the 5 September 2010 timetable changes, partially replaced by the 25, 33 and 33A. This section in particular was replaced by route 25, giving links to Newport and East Cowes, but no longer to Ryde. For some reason, apparently due to the terrible road surface, during the period before it was withdrawn, route 29 did not continue to the end of Folly Lane to this bus stop at Folly Inn pub, instead turning around just up the road at Medina Park. Southern Vectis however decided to serve this stop from the start of the new service however, although the bus stops flags were not put up in time for the route to start. In comparison with this photo taken a month earlier, it can be seen Wightbus have removed their flag and timetable case. |
