Quite a lucky catch of two different buses. On the near-side is a bus with a "driver under instruction", as seen on the destination dislplay. It's V160 MEV, a Dennis Trident/ Alexander ALX400 operated by Golden Tours with fleet number 160. This is an ex. London bus, (Stagecoach Selkent) still retaining double doors. On the left hand side and obscured by V160MEV is 562 CLT, an old Routemaster on the tourist heritage route 9 to Trafalgar Square. It was new to London Transport in April 1963, making it exactly 50 years old when I took this at Hyde Park Corner on the 27th April 2013!!!! |
