Staying in Provence meant reconnecting with nature, not always in desirable ways. When I arrived, I looked at the fields and thought "look at all the pretty little white flowers!" The next morning, while venturing out for picture taking, I discovered the my little white flowers were actually thousands and thousands of tiny snails. They climb the grasses to estivate (word of the day=spend a hot or dry period in a prolonged state of torpor or dormancy.) At least they were cooperative photography subjects!
