Summary

Description
English: (1 of a multiple picture set.)

The Konza Prairie is one of the pieces of ground in the Plains States that has been set aside to preserve the native prairie as it was when the American Natives lived here. This is the prairie of tall grass that seemed like a green ocean to the wagon trains crossing on their way west. They said that as the wind made the tall grave sway across the vast prairie, it looked like waves on a green ocean.

Native wildlife and plants thrive here and one can see a bison now and then. Within the park is an old homestead and this wall and wagon wheel rims stood out to me. My daughter saw this picture and said it reminded her of two wedding rings and a couple growing old together.
