| Description |
English: Wheat field near Sherrington This view looking east is of a wheat field on Sherrington Down with the woods leading up to Rowdean Hill on the north side of Great Ridge at the top. Great Ridge lies on a ridge of chalk downland, capped by clay with flints. The edge of this field is made up almost entirely of flints though this could in some way be an effect of farming the field over a long period of time. |
