Description
English: The main house at Weynoke Plantation, sometimes spelled Weyanoke, near Faunsdale, Marengo County, Alabama, United States. The plantation was established by George William Hunt Minge in 1834. The house was completed in 1838; it was destroyed in the early 20th century. The plantation was located in the vicinity of Marengo County Road 54 south of Faunsdale. The main house was notable as the only known example of a Palladian five-part plan built in the early years of Alabama.
