Summary

[edit]
Description This was the first "tourist" hotel built in Phoenix. It was built in the 1930's and is just north of downtown. It is a really cool representation of art deco architecture. It is also cool from a distance as the blocky shape says "1930s" and the massive radio tower on top looks like the inspiration for the RKO Radio Pictures movie studio logo. Now it looks like it is inhabited by underemployed guys in wheelchairs.
Date March 30, 2011.
