Description

c/n WA863 Built in 1978 for the Royal Air Force with the British military serial XZ597. She flew in the Search & Rescue role including time in the Falkland Islands, when she became one of very few RAF Sea Kings to be painted overall grey. She was sold off in January 2016 and stored at Colsterworth before joining Historic Helicopters at Chard, Somerset, in November 2017. She was civil registered as G-SKNG in March 2019 and flew again on 20th March 2020, wearing the popular yellow colour scheme of 22 squadron. Seen on static display at the 2022 Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) RAF Fairford, Gloucestershire, UK
