Itis understood then that the man has ivoryhid away some place, and mister trader goesabout driving a bargain. After the price isagreed on the goods are turned over by thetrader with the understanding that he is tofind the stipulated amount of ivory at a cer-tain place within an hour or two. Of course and a good share of the honey secured bythe Andorobo eventually reaches the land-lords. From all this the reader will no doubt con-ceive the impression that the Andorobo area fear-ridden, bony lot of creatures, growncross-eyed from watching their back tracks;such is not the truth. Certainly their starvedcondition is not conducive to corpulency, buttheir ribs are not unduly prominent.
