English: West window, Coventry Cathedral The south-facing "west" window of Coventry Cathedral[1], reflecting the walls of the old cathedral.
The window is engraved with angels and saints to John Hutton's design. The scheme of saints was drawn up by Provost Howard and represent those particularly associated with the British Isles. There are 8 rows in total, the lower 5 of which are visible here. The arrangement (from the outside, and top to bottom) is: (4) flying angels (5) St George, St Andrew, St Patrick, St David, St Alban, St Columba, St Augustine, St Oswald, St Aidan (6) flying angels (7) St Cuthbert (detail https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/555860 ), St Chad, St Hilda, St Bede, St Margaret of Scotland, St Alfred, St Osburga, St Thomas Becket (8) Angel Gabriel, Angel of Gethsemane, Angel of Resurrection, Angel of Ascension, Angel of the Eternal Gospel, Angel of the City of God The 3 rows not visible in the photo: (1) angel, Abraham, Moses, David, Elijah, Isaiah, angel (2) flying angels, St Michael, flying angels (3) St Matthew, St Mark, St Luke, St John, Virgin Mary, John the Baptist, St Peter, St James, St Paul.
