English: West facing shore of An Aird The rocky shoreline gives way to sand at the start of the tombolo which connects An Aird to the rest of Skye. Beyond is Balmeanach Bay, and the nearest mountain is Glamaig. Could someone please put names to the distant peaks?
Active Skye Geographer, John Allan has come to the rescue - he writes: "No problem,(L to R): Beinn na Caillich, Glas Bheinn Mhor, Belig, Garbh-bheinn and Glamaig. Glamaig has two peaks, An Coileach on the left above Sconser and Sgurr Mhairi on the right, above Sligachan". |
