West Shore Expressway / Korean War Veterans Parkway, Richmond Valley, Staten Island.

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Traveling east from the Outerbridge Crossing on the concurrent West Shore Expressway (NY 440) and Korean War Veterans Parkway (Richmond Parkway) at the interchange of the two routes in Charleston / Richmond Valley / Pleasant Plains near Tottenville, Staten Island. Both highways were constructed together in the 1960s and 70s, around the time the Verrazzano Bridge was opened. The main eastbound highway (left) continues as the Richmond Parkway towards Eltingville. The off-ramp to the right curves north to feed into the West Shore Expressway. Technically, the bridge in the background is the main West Shore Expressway coming from the Outerbridge Park & Ride.
