Views of Westcrest (West Crest), the home of David Taylor early pioneer of Truro Township, Franklin County. Phot #1 shows the northeast view and photo #2 shows the southeast view. Taylor (1801-1889) was married to Margaret Livingston Taylor (1809-1895). This house was built by Taylor between 1840 and 1843. The house's name came from being on the west side of the Gahanna River (Big Walnut) at the crest of the long rise from that stream. |
