Postcard view of the West End aka New Basin Canal lighthouse.

Text on back:

"U.S. Government Lighthouse at West End showing section of the recently completed sea-wall along Lake Pontchartrain. The construction of this seawall has provieded New Orleans with a delightful "Summer Playground" where all water sports may be enjoyed."
Date Not dated. Probably late 1920s or 1930s; the stepped concrete lakefront seawall was completed in sections from c. 1926 - 1938.
