| Description |
English: The Green Street Art Center, Middletown, Connecticut, USA, is the one building of Wesleyan University that is located in downtown Middletown. It is just east of Main Street in the North End. Built in 1872 as the Johnson School, it was purchased in the 1950s for $25,000 by the local Roman Catholic Parish as St. Sebastian School (which later moved to a different location, and eventually closed at the end of the 2008-2009 school year); I'm not sure of the chronology the Catholic school moving out and the building being purchased by Wesleyan. |
