Description
Deutsch: Gotischer Flügelaltar aus Brüsseler Werkstatt (1480) in der St.-Sylvestri-Kirche (Wernigerode). Er kam 1751 nach einem Brand aus der Liebfrauenkirche in die Nikolaikirche und nach deren Abriss 1932 in die St.-Sylvestri-Kirche. Die geöffnete Festtagsseite zeigt einen Marienaltar. Im geschnitzten Mittelteil die Geburt Jesu, Ankunft der Heiligen Drei Könige mit Gefolge, Trauung Marias und Josefs, Verkündigung, Beschneidung Jesu und Anbetung. Auf den oberen Flügeln Gottvater mit der Weltkugel und Mariä Himmelfahrt. Linke Flügelinnenseite: Anna und Joachim vor der goldenen Pforte, Verkündigung der Geburt an Maria. Rechte Flügelinnenseite: Flucht nach Ägypten und Darstellung im Tempel.
