Description
Deutsch: Krummelsches Haus, Breite Straße 72, Wernigerode. Das spätbarocke Fachwerkgebäude wurde 1674 vom Kornhändler Heinrich Krummel errichtet. Die vorgesetzte Holzfassade ist nach Stichen des flämischen Kupferstechers Adriaen Collaert (1560-1618) geschnitzt worden. Dargestellt sind die Erdteile Europa, Asien, Afrika und Amerika, die Elemente Luft und Erde sowie "Der Menschen Sterblichkeit".[1]
