Das rund 5 t schwere vermutlich größte zusammenhängende Stück Steinkohle (Meta-Antrazit) der Welt repräsentiert nicht nur den 200 Millionsten Teil der gesamten jährlichen Steinkohlen-Fördermenge Chinas (rd. 1 Mrd. t), sondern entspricht auch exakt jener Menge, die im deutschen Steinkohlebergbau durchschnittlich je Mann und Schicht gefördert wird. Die Arbeitsspuren weisen darauf hin, dass der Kubus in einem Bergwerk der Jincheng Coal Mining Administration mit Hilfe dicht nebeneinander angelegter 40 bis 50 mm weiter Bohrlöcher aus dem Flözverband gelöst wurde.
