Description
English: Wellington Hotel, Howden, East Riding of Yorkshire, England.
This inn on Bridgegate, known in the 18th century as the White Hart Inn, was a stopping point for stagecoaches travelling between Liverpool and Hull. Cock-fighting was practised here in the early 19th century. In the 1820s the inn was renamed in honour of the Duke of Wellington.
