Summary
[edit]DescriptionPeale's Falcon 01.jpg |
Sitting in my study, frantically working on my website and uploading the 3,000 odd images that I have to go on there, and I hear a distant screaming coming from outside my 3rd floor window. Not human, more beast. Not really screaming, more howling. Sticking my head out of the window and turning my eyes towards the source of noise, I saw a pair of men standing outside with a couple of the most beautiful birds of prey I have ever seen. One, the size of small child, and one, as pretty as any model I have ever worked with. Grabbing my camera, I beat my way down the three flights of stairs towards the front door and leapt through it at a rate of notes that caused the smaller of the birds to rear up in fright and the other to scowl in my noisy and clumsy direction. This image is of the prettier of the two models. She is a Peale's Falcon, a cross between a Peregrin Falcon and I don't know, probably Rosie (she is that beautiful). And boy did she love the camera. At one stage, when I pointed my camera towards her, she riled up and spread her wings, and I swear to God she was smiling. More to come. |
