[edit]
Description
English: Weir, Barcombe Mills The power of the Ouse has meant that watermills have been sited here since Roman times. During the middle ages there were three mills at Barcombe. Its importance has meant that man has worked this section of the river into a number of channels to harness the power of the water. The last working mill stopped in 1918 and burnt to the ground in 1939, all that is left are the various channels. Taken from the small lane to the west of Pikes Bridge.
