Deutsch: Die „Weiße Frau“ auf Schloss Hohenlimburg. Der Sage nach wohnte einst Johannetta Elisabeth von Nassau-Katzenelnbogen auf dem Schloss und soll durch das tragische Ende ihres Mannes und ihres Sohnes noch heute ihrem Glück auf dem Schloss hinterher spuken. – Gräfin Johannetta Elisabeth von Bentheim-Limburg (1593-1654), geborene Gräfin von Nassau-Katzenelnbogen, aus dem Hause Nassau-Dillenburg, war seit 1614 verheiratet mit Graf Konrad Gumprecht von Bentheim-Tecklenburg-Steinfurt (1585-1618). Nach dem frühen Tod ihres Mannes starb auch ihr einziger Sohn Wilhelm schon im Kindesalter (1626). Auf sich allein gestellt regierte die Gräfin Johannetta Elisabeth in schwerer Zeit (Dreißigjähriger Krieg) bis zu ihrem Tode im Jahre 1654 die Grafschaft Limburg. |
