Deutsch: Der Läufer entscheidet sich in dem meisten Fällen völlig zufällig, in welche Richtung er an Wegverzweigungen er weitergeht. Nur bestimmte Orte, die größerskalige Muster determinieren (Pfadabhängigkeit, Separatrix) entscheidet sich der Spieler willentlich und überstimmt den Zufall.
Je nach Struktur des Irrgartens kann damit die benötigte Einflussnahme des Spielers zur Erzeugung makroskopisch gewollter Strukturen beliebig klein gehalten werden. Ergibt jede der einzelnen dunkel umrandeten Blöcke in einem später daraus gerendertem Bild nur genau ein Pixel (schwarz/weiß) kann der zeichnende Wille so beliebige Buchstaben erzeugen. Dies ist ein Denkmodell für einen möglicherweise nicht messbaren Einfluss irgendwie gearteter freier Willen mit Wirkmächtigkeit in einer quantenphysikalisch konzipierten Welt: die Einflussnahme der Willen liegt unterhalb einer praktisch messbaren Abweichung vom Zufall.
