Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Waxwing (Bombycilla garrulus) at Baltasound Waxwings are scarce Starling-sized visitors in Britain, but are one of the most beguiling birds to be seen in the country with their soft overall plumage tone, bandit mask, day-glo yellow tail and wing markings, extraordinary 'wax' tips on some of the flight feathers, sleigh bell call and, as shown well here, a perky crest.
