| Description |
English: Waterperry Gardens Waterperry Gardens lie in the village of Waterperry, 7 miles (11 km) east of Oxford on the Buckinghamshire border. They comprise 8 acres of gardens attached to Waterperry House. The Formal Garden (in which this photograph was taken) is a small, yew-enclosed area, its planting reflecting various historic periods from Tudor times to the present day. A traditional box knot, clipped topiary and medicinal herb garden complete the picture whose centrepiece is the serene statue (shown here) entitled 'Lamp of Wisdom' by Nathan David. |
