Description
English: Meindert Hobbema was a painter working in Amsterdam in the late 17th century. "Le Moulin à Eau" depicts a water mill on the Singraven estate, located in Overijissel (a province of the Netherlands)-- a site Hobbema represented several times. Felix Augustin Milius--the etcher of this print--was a 19th-century painter, engraver, and illustrator born in Marseilles.
