Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Water of Tulla and Crannach Wood Crannach is mostly a birch wood, the trees having rapidly recolonised the sandy soils after fencing in the early 1980s. There have been big extensions since and the woodland now covers much of the south side of the Water of Tulla. Deep inside the forest is a big Scots pine wood, full of granny pines. Passing through Crannach is one of the highlights of a journey on the West Highland Line. Above the forest is the parallel gully lined grassy slopes of Meall Buidhe, the connecting ridge between Beinn a' Chreachain and Beinn Achalladair.
