| Description |
Just beyond the water tank and the building, lie train tracks. The water tank would have supplied water to trains that have long since stopped coming. I arrived at this old abandoned train station at night. I pulled off the main highway about a quarter of a mile and followed the dirt road up the slope. I was expecting the usual open land to pitch my tent so when my lights swept across the building, I thought, "Damn, I've driven onto someone's private ranch. There were lots of dirt tracks so I kept on going looking for a place farther away. The track I took lead me back down towards the main highway so I decided to return but head to the other side and eventually I found a suitable spot to set up for the night. In the morning, I woke up to this beautiful sunrise and realized that I had stumbled upon a great photographic opportunity. YPC_8734_cln_rot-1 |
