Description

Washington Square is the focal point of Greenwich Village, and its arch is a key landmark.

Fifth Avenue terminates here, as seen here.

This view is familiar to viewers of the 1990s sitcom Friends, though in that show, the World Trade Center Twin Towers were prominent in the distance until the 9/11 attacks. Today, One World Trade Center is being erected as the replacement.
