Summary
[edit]DescriptionWashing on the line - geograph.org.uk - 841730.jpg |
English: Washing on the line Local householders use poles at Cellardyke Harbour to give their Monday morning washing a good sea breeze drying.
In the 19th century, this area was used to build fishing boats, including whalers, which were launched sideways into the harbour at full tide. More recently, the UK's first example of bird flu was found in March 2006 in a dead swan that had been washed up exactly at this camera position. |
