Summary

[edit]
Description

These handwashing facilities are based on a common Rwandan model - there is one tank for water and another for liquid soap. These are both operated by pressing down on a foot pedal. Typically Oxfam just installs a single washstand holding water with soap kept by the sink. However, in a busy camp soap can often go missing, so this innovation of having a separate tap with liquid soap means that soap supplies are always available.
