| Description |
English: Warwick Castle Park The park was extensively remodelled by the Earl and 'Capability' Brown in the mid-18th century. This non-view says something of the fate of the park in the 20th century. A single oak marooned in arable, instead of the original parkland grazing. Filled-in pond, right. Conifer plantation on Temple Hill, planted 1955-6. Sewer vent reveals the route of Leamington's sewage towards the 1970s Longbridge treatment works. SP2763 |
