Description

Ambrose Dudley (1530-1590) was 3rd Earl of Warwick and brother of Robert Dudley, Queen Elizabeth's favourite (his tomb is also in the chapel). Abrose married three times, but remained childless. His first wife was Anne Whorwood, they had a daughter who died as an infannt. Anne died of the sweating sickness in 1552. He then married Elizabeth Lady Tailboys who died in 1563. His third wife was 16 year old Anne Russell who he married in 1565.

He was Master of the Ordnance and a Privy Councillor.
