Description
English: On 8 April 1652, Jan van Riebeeck took possession of the “Cape Outpost” in the name of the United East India Company and their most Noble and High Mightinesses the States General of the United Netherlands. He built his “Fort of Good Hope” in Table Vall Type of site: Fort.
This media shows a South African Protected Site with SAHRA file reference 9/2/018/0056.
