Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Coat of arms of the german catholic fraternity KStV Rheno-Merovingia zu Bochum im KV", which consists of the coats of arms of the five cities this fraternity residented in through history: Strasbourg top left (or top right, in heraldic terms), Düsseldorf (The Red Lion called "Bergischer Löwe") top right, Würzburg bottom right, Cologne bottom left and Bochum in the center. The Motto in latin "Semper ad lucem" means "Towards the light always". The shield on the knight's helmet shows the so-called Zirkel of the fraternity, a calligraphic combination of its initials and the letters V, C and F for "vivat crescat floreat" - "live, grow and blossom", the decoration shows the colours of the fraternitiy, green and red as symbols of hope and love. The correct english heraldic terms are not familiar to me.
