Description

The propulsion unit ( hydrogen peroxide rocket motor ) from a Messerschmidt ME -163 Komet interceptor aircraft , removed during renovation at RAF Cosford in 2006. From Wikipedia (thanks)

HWK 109-509 bipropellant hot engine, which added a true fuel of hydrazine hydrate and methanol, designated C-Stoff, that burned with the oxygen-rich exhaust from the T-Stoff(80% concentrated hydrogen peroxide used as hypergolic oxidizer with C-Stoff), used as the oxidizer, for added thrust
