Description
Deutsch: Spätgotisches Hochaltarretabel der Wallfahrtskirche Klausen. In der für die Antwerpener Schule typischen Erzählfreude werden die letzten Vorbereitungen der Henkersknechte vor der Kreuzigung detailreich dargestellt: Es wird gebohrt, gesägt und gehämmert. Jesus ist bereits seiner Kleider beraubt, rechts unten würfeln drei Männer um das Gewand, den Heiligen Rock. Seine Mutter Maria, Maria Magdalena, der Apostel Johannes und wohl Josef von Arimathäa sehen zu, ohne noch eingreifen zu können.
