English: Wall of unknown purpose (rifle range butt?), below Poundbury hillfort. This brick wall is in the Frome valley, next to the railway line and below Poundbury hillfort and the course of the Roman aqueduct (visible top left). It is freestanding, with buttresses on the far side. The ground in front of it is pitted, and there are also the remains of two small buildings and a gate. |
