Summary

English: Walking up the 5th fairway, Newbold Comyn Golf Course. Looking between the poplars lining the perimeter track, across the 5th fairway, to the long 6th fairway running beside the trees, centre. The disused reservoir 1560229 is among the tall trees. The 8th green is out of sight in the hollow, left.
Although the Corporation bought Newbold Comyn Farm in 1943 it could not be developed as a quasi-country park until the 1970s. The first nine holes of the golf course were laid out over the lively topography of the Campion Hills. Players call one area Coronary Hill. |
