| Description |
English: Walking by Loch Maree. I propped the camera up on the self timer for this shot on the northeast side of Loch Maree and at the southeast end of the loch. My destination to complete a round of Munros was the summit of Slioch, 3.75km to the north-northwest and approximately 970m higher than this point. After setting out from Incheril in the late afternoon, I arrived at the summit at 19-30 and had the place to myself for an overnight bivvy on the mountain top. The reward for choosing a good weather window was a glorious sunset down Loch Maree and a fantastic sunrise from the summit the following morning 621329. I have attended several organised final Munro outings and most have been in poor weather conditions. |
