Deutsch: Denkmalgeschütztes Waldbad Herrnhut: Freibad mit Stahlbetonbecken und Umkleidekabinen (Zittauer Straße) Das Herrnhuter Waldbad ist das älteste gemauerte öffentliche Freibad der Oberlausitz. Es wurde am 28.7. 1907 eröffnet und erfreute sich großer Beliebtheit. 1941 kamen z. B. 16000 Badegäste. Als Besonderheit sind die beiden flachen Vorwärmbecken an der B 178 zu erwähnen, die es ermöglichen, von der Sonne erwärmtes Wasser ins Bad einzulassen. 1999 wurde das Bad grundlegend saniert und modernisiert. |
