Description
English: Millions of people live in the Sunderbans mangrove swamp forest islands of West Bengal and Bangladesh. Here, we see people,their bicycles, food and equipment being transported across and along the river between the island of Dayapur, near the tiger reserve, and Gadkhali. In the foreground is a stack of newly harvested, stout bamboo poles, that have many uses, including in providing building supports.
