Summary
[edit]DescriptionWaggon and Horses, Church Street - geograph.org.uk - 1055478.jpg |
English: Waggon and Horses, Church Street On the corner of Church Street and Jubilee Street, it was built in 1846 as a gymnasium and became a pub two years later when the gymnasium moved to Paston Place in Kemp Town. The cobble fronted cottage two doors down is early 19th century that was restored in 1986 while two doors further down the strange black building is a former funeral parlour that has been converted to residential use. Next door to that is an empty building that until 2001 was the music reference library though it was originally built in 1925 as a gas show room. Beyond that just in view is a red bricked building that was once the law courts. |
