Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Waen, Penisarwaen Though the OS uses Waun and Penisa'r Waun, all local institutions still use the older familiar forms of Waen and Penisarwaen. Waen means 'moor' and Penisarwaen 'the bottom end of the moor'. Waen, consists of this group of houses clustered around a road junction and a number of dispersed cottages and small-holdings strung mostly along the no-through road which runs north-eastwards in the direction of the forest.
