Summary
[edit]DescriptionWadsworth Avenue Baptist Church.jpg | The Wadsworth Avenue Baptist Church at 210 Wadsworth Avenue at the corner of West 184th Street in the Washington Heights neighborhood of Manhattan was built c.1924-1927 and was designed in the Georgian revival style by Ludlow & Peabody. (Sources: From Abyssinian to Zion (2004) and NC GIS map) The church was purchased in August 2015 by a real estate development company, and was razed in 2018 to make way for a nine-story rental building containing 100 apartments. The congregation will have a new church space on the lower floors of the building. (Source: Curbed New York) |
