Description
English: WW I Victory Medal back view as awarded to the US Army servicemen who fought in France against the Germans. Top shows the back of the battle clasps. Bottom medal has "THE GREAT WARRIOR CIVILIZATION" curved along the top in all caps. The bottom has 3 stars on the left and right. The middle has a shield with U on the left and S on the right. A staff of wrapped rods is on top of the shield. On top of the staff is something that looks like an eagle or scabbard? The names of the participating countries are inscribed to the left and right of the shield. Right side: Great Britain, Belgium, Brazil, Portugal, Rumania (spelled with U instead of an O) and China. Left side: France, Italy, Serbia, Japan, Montenegro, Russia and Greece. Serviceman fought in France against the German 1917 - 1919. Medal awarded April 1921.
