Description
English: Military field uniform for the German Waffen-SS during World War II, a variation of the field-grey (grey-green) (German: feldgrau) army uniform with SS insignia, worn by a Norwegian volunteer soldier holding the rank of SS-Rottenführer (SS-Squad leader).
  • Uniform trousers with loops, buttons, and straps under the feet.
  • Falstad Center, Norway: Part of the uniform for Waffen-SS Rottenführer. The original owner was a Norwegian "front fighter". During training in Germany, he attempted to escape but was captured and sent to the Eastern Front. It's unknown if he participated in combat. He reportedly returned to Norway via Finland and Sweden to Narvik. He was arrested after the war and held at Falstad (then Innherad Prison Camp). He was not in any other prison camps in Norway besides Falstad.

Norsk bokmål: Militær feltuniform for det tyske Waffen-SS under andre verdenskrig, en variant av den tyske hærens grå-grønne feltuniform utstyrt med SS-merker, båret av en norsk frivillig soldat med graden SS-Rottenführer.

  • Falstadsenteret i Trøndelag: Del av uniform for Waffen-SS Rottenführer. Den opprinnelige eieren var norsk frontkjemper. Under opplæring i Tyskland forsøkte han å rømme, men ble tatt og sendt til Østfronten. Ukjent om han var med på krigshandlinger. Han skal ha kommet tilbake til Norge via Finland og Sverige til Narvik. Han ble arrestert etter krigen og satt på Falstad (Innherad fangeleir). Var ikke i andre fangeleirer i Norge enn Falstad.
