DescriptionWTC Andy Mabbett DSC 6325.JPG | Holy Trinity Church in Coventry, England, mural monument to Thomas Pidgeon (d.1664), a "patrician" of Coventry. He married twice. By his first wife Mary Foxley, a daughter of John Foxley, a "senator" of Coventry, he had 4 sons and one daughter Elizabeth Pidgeon, the wife of John Dugdale, eldest son of w:William Dugdale of w:Blyth Hall in Warwickshire. The monument was erected by Elizabeth Pidgeon, in loving memory of her parents (per inscription). Arms below: Dugdale (Argent, a cross moline gules) impaling Pidgeon (Sable, a chevron ermine between three pigeon's heads erased argent) (Burke, Sir Bernard, The General Armory, London, 1884, p.802 "Pigeon of Beckham and Yockthorpe, Yorkshire", but with chevron engrailed or). Sir w:William Dugdale (1605-1686), antiquary and herald, was a son of John Dugdale (d.1624) of Shustoke, Warwickshire. In 1625, the year after his father's death, William Dugdale purchased the manor of w:Blyth Hall, near Shustoke. | ||||||||||||||||||||
