Description

Den Haag In 1956 werd het carillon uitgebreid naar 51 klokken door het bedrijf Koninklijke Eijsbouts uit Asten. Van de 51 klokken hangen er 47 in de spits van de toren. Dat is duidelijk te zien vanaf de straat. De 4 grote klokken hangen op de ‘luidzolder’, een paar etages onder de spits van de toren. De huidige beiaardier, Heleen van der Weel, speelt al sinds 1975 op het carillon. Zij loopt een paar maal per week de trappen op. Tussen de luidzolder en de spits staat het klavier waarmee het carillon met de hand bespeeld kan worden. en strooit dan vrolijke klanken uit over Den Haag.
